Having the right hair color will make your complexion glow from within. At Fisher Experience our colorists will offer several suggestions as soon as he or she sees your skin tone and eye color.
We recommend that you do give this some thought beforehand to determine for yourself whether you have a warm or cool undertone.
Hold a white piece of paper against your cheek. If your skin looks pink against the paper, your cool. If you skin appears yellow or olive, your warm.
A cool skin tone means you should avoid hair colors in warm tones such as gold, auburn, or copper. Instead, try icy, ash, or cool neutral shades.
A warm skin tone can get away with many more hues. But in general, use warmer shades to off-set the yellowundertones of your skin and avoid ashy tones–they tend to make you look sallow.
More specifically, beware of bright blonde shades which can bring out the green in olive skin. Try caramel or butterscotch instead.
At Fisher Experience, we have been choosing the correct hair color for our clients for over 25 years and thank you for trusting us.
Sincerely,
Bruce Fisher

There has been a rise in curiosity about the Brazillian (Keratin) smoothing services this week. I just wanted to inform clients that prices on Brazillian (Keratin) smoothing services have come down from the $650 range to the $450 range.
But, be careful! Do not shop for price alone on this service.
There are many factories which determine the quality and durability of the service–the application, preparation, timing, and technique, but most importantly the true temperature of the iron used. The iron used must be at a constant 450 degrees and many flat irons used have been tested not to be at 450 degrees. Ask your stylist about this before making a decision.

If you want to improve the quality of your BLOWDRYS, I would love to help!
Here is where I will share some professional tricks and tips for a sleek, smooth blow-out.
Every head of hair needs either Lift and Volume or Smoothing and De-Frizzing. Many heads need both.
FISRT…Determine exactly what your hair type will need and proceed accordingly…
SMOOTHING & DE-FRIZZING
1. Use a leave-in detangling spray to nourish hair and scalp. I suggest using Nutridefense (Kerastase) or Tonic (Bumble & Bumble).
2. Now, you want the mid-shaft and ends to look very smooth and polished. Try using Grooming Crème (Bumble & Bumble) or Oleo-Relax (Kerastase).
3. Flip your head over to cut down drying time. Your hair should be about 80% dry before you pick up a brush to smooth the hair out.
4. Next, separate hair into 3 sections—top, middle, and nape.
5. Begin at the nape and continue up, using a flat brush for the sleek look.
6. Always use a nozzle on your blow-dryer and follow the fall of the hair.
***Remember to make sure the hair is completely dry before you apply a light silicone to your hair to tame any fly-aways.
LIFT & VOLUME
1. Use a leave-in detangling spray to nourish hair and scalp. I suggest using Nutridefense (Kerastase) or Tonic (Bumble & Bumble).
2. Use a volume spray at the root if needed. I recommend Thickening Spray (Bumble & Bumble) or Volumintense (Kerastase). This will add height and give lift.
3. Flip your head over to cut down drying time. Your hair should be about 80% dry before you pick up a brush to smooth the hair out.
4. Next, separate hair into 3 sections—top, middle, and nape.
5. Begin at the nape and continue up, using a round brush for more volume and bend.
6. Always use a nozzle on your blow-dryer and follow the fall of the hair.
***Remember to make sure the hair is completely dry before you apply a light silicone to your hair to tame any fly-aways
As the busiest weeks of the holidays are upon us, here are several affordable ways that you can make yourself look and feel even more special for that special occasion.
1. Try a clip-on hair extension to add volume and fullness, and give yourself a whole new look. The clip-ons that are available in salons now can perfectly match your natural hair color.
2. Mix up your look. If you normally go with a straight style, use rollers to go curly. If you’ve got naturally curly hair, wear it in a straight, smooth style. If you’ve got longer hair, a side ponytail is a hot look for the season. Treat yourself to a professional salon wash and blow-dry, an affordable way to get a new “do” for a special occasion. You don’t need to “over-do” with an up-do; just enhance what you have!
3. Accessorize! Try a pretty, sparkly headband or a fun hair clip that matches your outfit. Adding hair accessories is an easy and economical way to bejewel your crown.
4. Visit the salon for a special hair treatment, another way to affordably improve your hair’s condition. Nothing is more beautiful than shiny, healthy hair. A quality salon treatment can correct any of your “hair challenges.”
5. If you have an after-work occasion and are pressed for time, you can clean hair that is a little dirty with a dry shampoo (Bumble & bumble has a great one). Just spray it in your hair, let it sit for about two minutes, then take a clean towel and blot. Any grease and grime connects with the powder and comes off with the towel. This is a great way to extend the life of your blow dry!
